Polidextrose Powder
polidextrose is a multi-purpose food ingredient synthesized from dextrose (glucose), plus about 10% of sorbitol and 1% of citric acid. This polysaccharide is also known as E1200.
It is used as a bulking agent, stabilizer, thickener, and humectant. It is also used a soluble prebiotic fibre. It provides the mouthfeel and texture of sugar, making it an ideal alternative for products with calorie reduction (it is 1/10 sweet as sugar). It imparts little to no colour and off flavour.
